In Sarah Palin’s America 1st Amendment Rights Only Apply to Sarah

Sarah Palin was a busy grizzly this past weekend. She’s still busy dragging TLC producers and cameramen all over HER Alaska, showing them all the great people and places. Eventually Palin and her entourage made their way to Homer, AK where Palin discovered a banner waiting for her and the crew that read ‘Worst Governor Ever’. Sarah as thin skinned as she is couldn’t just keep walking and ignore the whole thing, she just had to stop and confront the woman who had hung the sign.

As you’ll see and hear in the video below, the woman protesting Palin’s visit to her town is displeased that Sarah abandoned her state for the spotlight, paid speeches, reality shows and a gig on Fox News. You’ll also get a chance to see how well Sarah and Todd have raised their daughter Bristol, mother of Palin’s grandchildren. Bristol seems to have no problem being confrontational or sarcastic, while the resident of Homer shows nothing but respect.

In the world of Palin, calling them out for their behavior amounts to disrespecting Sarah, who still likes to refer to herself as Governor Palin even though she quit that position with less than 18 months of her term served before resigning for ‘the good of Alaska’.

But what is most damning and most obvious in this video is Sarah Palin’s obvious disdain and dismissal of teachers in our society. You see the woman hanging the sign Ms. Kathleen Gustafson was asked by Sarah Palin what she does for a living to which she responded, I’m a teacher. Sarah immediately rolls her eyes, makes a few different ‘faces’ and glances knowingly at Bristol as if to say well that explains it. Sarah doesn’t say anything, not what a selfless job you do, thanks for dedicating yourself to educating the children of Alaska, nothing.

Sarah and Bristol’s reaction is so full of ‘pity’ it appears to have left Ms. Gustafson feeling inadequate so she continues and says I have a few other jobs too and my husband is a commercial fisherman. To which Mrs. Palin responded enthusiastically with ‘ooooooh my husband is a commercial fisherman too so we probably have a lot in common. At that point Mrs. Palin realizes a bystander has been recording her with his cell phone, but it’s apparent from the video that Todd and the other males in Palin’s entourage were already aware he was filming. You see them repeatedly roaming back and forth, circling the group, cutting in front of Sarah to block the cameras view.

Todd Palin is in the orange hat, Ms. Gustafson is to the right

At one point you even see Todd circle around the group (he’s in the orange hat and snacking on something the entire time) walk right past Ms. Gustafson while proceeding to elbow her as he walks by.

This is a true display of Sarah Palin’s view of education and how she and her family live their ‘christian’ values. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth is literal with these people. The thuggery of the AIP is deep in Palin’s bones and those of many of their family members.

Once Sarah Palin realized this video had gone viral and has garnered more attention than any other Palin screw-up so far, she directed her Facebook ghostwriter, Rebecca Mansour to post a denial that she ever rolled her eyes. Of course as many know Palin’s father Chuck Heath and brother Chuck Jr are both teachers as her defense, but Sarah has told us in her own words her father was instrumental in teaching her to lie to get out of band practice which she explains on page 31 of Going Rogue.
There were practical benefits of having Dad coach, though. He knew how much I disliked playing in the pep band after a rough basketball game, but it was required of all band students that we play for the boys’ games following ours, so Dad would tape my fingers and I’d explain to the conductor that I needed to be excused yetagain from the flute section: “It’s those darn sprained fingers again, sir!”

So you see her father taught her how to lie and Sarah takes great pride in that moment. She has no problem doing it and no problem telling the entire world her father was the type of teacher that encouraged and accepted lying. doesn’t mean Sarah respects his job or that of his brother. In fact Sarah’s father also has a long collegiate record like his daughter. While it only took Sarah 5 colleges to earn a degree (one we’ve yet to see) in journalism, it took her father 10 colleges before finally graduating.

So see for yourself, did Sarah roll her eyes and glance at her daughter while doing it? Sarah’s still denying but video doesn’t lie, and video’s can be slowed down, etc. to catch every single movement. It’s clear she disrespected this woman and her profession and was more than happy to allow her daughter to act disrespectful to this woman as well.

Sarah’s Facebook Writer responded:
While filming the Alaska documentary in Homer, I had a brief discussion with a local lady who, in typical Alaska style, decided to give me her two cents worth about my political leanings, American politics in general, and much else besides. It’s what makes our politics so uniquely democratic: two people discussing the things they care about, even though they respectfully disagree about just about everything (you can watch a brief video of the encounter here).

The LSM has now decided to use this brief encounter for another one of their spin operations. They claim I – wait for it – “appear to roll my eyes” when the lady tells me she’s a teacher. Yes, it’s come to this: the media is now trying to turn my eyebrow movements into story lines. (Maybe that’s why Botox is all the rage – if you can’t move your eyebrows, your “eye rolling” can’t be misinterpreted!) If they had checked their facts first, they would have known that I come from a family of teachers; my grandparents were teachers, my father was a teacher, my brother is a teacher, my sister works in Special Needs classrooms, my aunt is a school nurse, my mom worked as a school secretary for much of her professional life, we all volunteer in classrooms, etc., etc., etc. Given that family history, how likely is it that I would “roll my eyes” at someone telling me that they too work in that honorable profession? Stay classy, LSM.

One good thing to come out of this little episode, though, is that it helps to remind people once again that Alaska is a great state full of independent-minded people. I look forward to introducing you to some of them in the forthcoming documentary series on life in Alaska! The show will remind you to get outdoors, breathe in God’s creation, and taste the freedom!
– Sarah Palin

As you can see Palin’s writer not only lied about Palin rolling her eyes she even goes as far as to lie about the exchange and what Ms. Gustafson was upset about. Not once did Gustafson say she disagrees with her political leanings, instead she told her she was disappointed she quit the job she promised to do all in search of fame and fortune. In Sarah Palin’s world, everyone else is to blame, but never Sarah, never. It’s Ms. Gustafon’s fault and the media’s fault for reporting on a story.

But with modern technology we can see the video again at a slower rate and clearly see she not only rolls her eyes, but gives Bristol a knowing look.

For Still photos from several frames of the video and more on the story vist HERE.

The latest Re-Mix of the Homer Video Show Sarah and Daughter Bristol in fine form and shows how closely Bristol was to this woman and although she flails her arms around Sarah does and says nothing to correct her daughter.

In a final act of disrespect while ‘fighting for our constitution’ Sarah Palin’s entourage tore down Mrs. Gustafson’s sign. Keep on fightin for those freedoms we all love Sarah. Keep on!

Sarah Palin continues to suffer effects of Palin Hypocrisy Syndrome. Good thing she has free healthcare!

Currently Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are in a custody battle over their son Tripp. Several documents have been filed. First Bristol wanted full custody claiming that Levi might try to capitalize on their son and use him for publicity. She also requested that the entire case be sealed and the custody case to proceed in private. The judge denied that ruling. All documents are open to scrutiny especially when TMZ seems to get possession of them before they are even officially filed. But anyway.

Shortly after the attorney representing Bristol Palin in the custody battle filed those documents, Bristol and her mother Sarah Palin posed for In Touch magazine with both of their sons and Bristol discussed her life with Trip and of course Sarah reminded people she had a choice and chose to have her son Trig too. It should also be mentioned that this same attorney representing Bristol in the custody battle is also Sarah Palin’s personal attorney and the attorney for SarahPAC. Just as you guessed, he made a nice amount of money from SarahPAC in the last quarter of 2009. But I digress, on with the show.

They also made an appearance via satellite from their home in Alaska on the Oprah Show where Bristol made the vow to stay celibate until marriage. It was later learned that Oprah’s production company Harpo footed the bill for Bristol and Sarah’s hair and makeup for the appearance.

In case you don’t see where I’m going with this it seems the Palin family from Mom and Dad right down to the kids have a hypocrisy problem. Bristol once posed on the cover of People magazine in her cap and gown holding her son for a nice sum. Again we were told how tough it is having a baby and being a teenager, especially when when your parents are millionaires and you live at home, but they still expect you take care of the child by yourself.

Bristol’s attorney, most recently filed papers demanding $1,750 a month in child support from Levi Johnston. Attorney Van Flein is also requesting the judge subpoena any and every media outlet that her son’s father Levi might have done interviews with in order to verify his self-reported of income of around $100,000 for 2009. They are also requesting the judge to order Levi to supply Bristol’s attorney anytime he is going to be paid for anything he may do or say. Rumors have it Levi might be in the process of writing a book and Andrew Sullivan of The Atlantic seems to be waiting for it.

Interestingly enough Andrew Sullivan and Levi Johnston were both guests a few months back on Joy Behar’s new show on CNN. Andrew mentioned he had a conversation with Levi in the green room. Interestingly enough anytime Andrew reports on Sarah Palin, her son Trig, her use of him as a prop or her hypocrisy over the use of her children, he now ends each post with C’mon Levi Fight Back! Makes me wonder just what Andrew and Levi discussed. Joy’s discussion of Sarah Palin with Andrew Sullivan is worth watching and will your mouth hanging wide open in amazement.

So what else have we for the latest Palin Hypocrisy Tour? Remember how a while back and I’m sure more recently Mrs. Palin kept warning America that any government involvement in providing health care for Americans was nothing more than the governments way of getting rid of people like her son Trig and her parents? You know the evil Government Death Panels! Remember how she decried socialized healthcare. Remember we should not see it as the governments job to provide us with healthcare or take care of us at all. Remember?

I’m sure you also remember how she told us that we need to pull ourselves up and not allow the government to get involved in our lives. Remember don’t expect the government to take care of you? Well, seems the Palin family has no problem with the government in Alaska or the taxpayers to take care of her family. Now I know you’re shocked and you think you might not have read it correctly so I’ll say it this way…………….wait for it……………here it is again………The Palin Family all receive > > >FREE< < < healthcare.

How do we know that? Since filing her latest documents for the custody battle bloggers have been reviewing the documents. Shannyn Moore a liberal radio and television host in Alaska wrote on The Huffington Post that that Bristol Palin’s son Tripp Johnston is enrolled as a tribal member of the Curyung Tribe and receives health care services at the state of the art Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage. It seems that Levi requested to have a certain dollar amount deducted each week from his pay to provide Tripp with healthcare, but Bristol and Sarah’s attorney responded that it wouldn’t be necessary due to his enrollment in the free program.

Why do they receive that care? Because Mrs. Palin’s husband Todd is 1/16th native. According to this document it makes not only Todd eligible but his spouse, his children, and now his grandchild. Of course they don’t have to take advantage of this free healthcare considering the millions coming in from the book, paid speeches, paid photo ops, paid magazine spreads, paid pose with Palin photos, etc. But the Palin family takes full advantage as their financial disclosure for 2009 shows.

You might have also noticed the first notation on line 1 for Permanent Fund Dividend of $19,614.00. That’s the combined total of > > >FREE< < < money each member of the Palin family received from the state of Alaska in 2009 thanks to former Governor um, uh, Sarah Palin. So even the youngest in the family little Trip received $3,269.00 just because. Yes each citizen of Alaska gets a big old fat socialist check from the government every year. Alaska also receives more federal dollars in earmarks than any other state.

So we can just add this to the growing list of Palin Hypocrisy Syndrome.

To read more about Todd Palin’s native heritage and his involvement in Native issues HERE. It looks like Todd is suffering symptoms too.

I wonder what will be coming down the pike next.

Sarah Palin, Andrea Friedman, Satire and Down Syndrome

Sarah, Piper and Trig Palin make a late night stop on book tour

So this time what started it all was an article in The Washington Post. In the article it was mentioned that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel scolded Democrats by calling them F%$&#*@G Retarded for their idea of running commercials against moderate Dems that weren’t supporting Healthcare Reform in a more aggressive manner. Rahm apparently made the remark during a closed door meeting in August of 2009. And just as we would expect Sarah Palin dove right in for one more chance to slam the guy who she thinks is sitting in her office right now where she really believes she should rightfully be. So in true Sarah Palin fashion we got a Facebook Note:

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F—ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

Then Rush Limbaugh felt the need to jump into the fray. It appears he was hoping to antagonize Mrs. Palin a bit as he went on to repeat the word retard over 40 times in just a few minutes. And he used it repeatedly referring to several people not only as retarded but ‘retards’ too. He railed on about our ‘politically correct society’ and practically accused Sarah of being just another pawn in the game. He even went so far as stating that Rahm Emanuel’s recent remarks were going to force The White House to hold a ‘retard summit’.

So how did Sarah feel about Rush’s repeated use of the word on his show?

Not a problem, Rush is a funny guy, he uses satire, sure that’s ok, we find it funny when it’s satire, no problem here, but Rahm, nope he can’t use that word. Ever. Me, Rush and others like me…….now that’s another story.

In fact Rush went back on the air after Palin spoke about his use of the word to tell his listeners that one of Sarah Palin’s aides called him in a panic begging him not to be mad at Sarah. They needed to make sure Rush wouldn’t slam Sarah on his show for being the hypocrite that she is.

When Stephen Colbert went on television a few nights later and called Sarah Palin F*#$%^@G Retarded again not a word. I guess that’s because he was using satire, huh?

Andrew Sullivan had this interesting take on the whole situation:

Palin, in contrast, called her own campaign prop “her retarded baby” in private, according to an eye-witness account from the father of her own grandson who lived in her house for months and knew her intimately. “I was just in shock the first time I heard it,” Levi Johnston told CBS. Unlike Sarah Palin, Johnston has not been caught in multiple indisputable lies. I believe him over her. In fact, in any factual dispute, I believe anyone over her.

While I’m at it, does anyone actually believe that Palin’s name for the child of miraculous provenance was found by her deep knowledge of ancient Norse as she claims in her magical-realism novel, “Going Rogue”? I mean, seriously. She knows about as much ancient Norse as she does English grammar. It’s as credible as the idea that she gave a speech while having contractions, several hours after going into labor, as she claims in her novel. It’s as credible as her amazing journey in labor with a special needs child on a plane where the flight attendants, according to the Anchorage Daily News, did not even notice she was pregnant. It’s as credible as any number of indisputable self-serving, unbalanced lies that she has told in the public record for years.
The medical term for Down Syndrome is Trisomy-21 or Trisomy-g. It is often shortened in medical slang to Tri-g.

Video of Levi Johnston on The Early Show can be seen here.

Then on Valentine’s Day the FOX show The Family Guy aired an episode in which an adult Down Syndrome character was on a blind date with a regular from the show. While on the date the Down Syndrome character mentions to her date that her father is an accountant and her Mother is the Governor of Alaska.

This one sentence was more than Sarah Palin could take and again threw herself into it full force until she had created a faux controversy once again. Sarah easily took the bait and jumped on the show only this time she used Bristol to try and make her point. One has to wonder if this isn’t just her way of trying to create a ‘gig’ for Bristol just as she has for herself. Bristol has after all has registered with the LLC as a Political and PR Consultant so this may have just been attempt to make donations from SarahPac to Bristol’s LLC look legitimate in the future.

People are asking me to comment on yesterday’s Fox show that felt like another kick in the gut. Bristol was one who asked what I thought of the show that mocked her baby brother, Trig (and/or others with special needs), in an episode yesterday. Instead of answering, I asked her what she thought. Here is her conscientious reply, which is a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make about an issue that begs the question, “when is enough, enough?”:

“When you’re the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent. People with special needs face challenges that many of us will never confront, and yet they are some of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet. Their lives are difficult enough as it is, so why would anyone want to make their lives more difficult by mocking them? As a culture, shouldn’t we be more compassionate to innocent people – especially those who are less fortunate? Shouldn’t we be willing to say that some things just are not funny? Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks. – Bristol Palin”

She even went back on television this time with Bill O’Reilly to again slam the show and O’Reilly attempted to make her clarify why it’s okay for Rush or anyone using satire, but not okay for Rahm Emanual or a show like Family Guy.

What Sarah didn’t realize or take the time to research is that the voice of the character on the Valentine’s Day Episode of Family Guy was Andrea Friedman, a much accomplished Down Syndrome actress and advocate. Ms. Friedman felt the need to respond so she wrote the NY Times the following e-mail:

Trig on the Going Rogue Tour

My name is Andrea Fay Friedman. I was born with Down syndrome. I played the role of Ellen on the “Extra Large Medium” episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine’s day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in ” Smudge” but I was a blonde in “Life Goes On”. I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line “I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska” was very funny. I think the word is “sarcasm”.

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.

Although The New York Times decided not to publish the last portion of Ms. Friedman’s statement in an effort to presumably protect Mrs. Palin, Andrea’s comments were e-mailed in their entirety to other outlets as well. You can view the e-mail here.

Andrea Friedman Speaks with The Insider about Sarah Palin’s treatment of Down Syndrome son Trig.

I suspect Ms. Friedman hasn’t been all that thrilled with Sarah Palin. I’m guessing Ms. Friedman is pretty perceptive to what’s really going on here and why we see so much of Trig Palin, yet don’t see his Mother do much to promote the issues important to those with Down Syndrome or their family members. SARAHPAC did after all raise $2.1 million in 2009, yet only donated only $1,000 to Down Syndrome and that wasn’t until the last day of the year 12/31/09. Y

Hell SarahPac spent over $63,000 on copies of Mrs. Palin’s book Going Rogue, which in turn goes right back to Mrs. Palin’s personal income.

She also paid thousands to two individuals that founded the very pro-Palin website Conservatives for Palin. A site that is now that is attacking the Ms. Friedman for standing up for people with Down Syndrome. Most assume Ms. Friedman is being used and doesn’t have the mental capacity to think for herself and we’re wording this in a much nicer way.

I would wager that Ms. Friedman was bothered by Mrs. Palin’s use of Trig on the campaign and his two months jetting/bussing around the country promoting his Mother’s book during the winter months which most likely could make Trig, with a known heart condition more susceptible to a variety of illnesses. There are a lot of pictures on the internet and in Mrs. Palin’s own collection of photos from the book tour of Trig on the road. Quite often the pictures show the climate required adults to bundle up yet often Trig was seen without a coat, socks or shoes and was often transported in less than ideal circumstances. Or maybe it bothers Andrea that Mrs. Palin also recently received over six figures to pose on the cover of a magazine reminding the world that she chose life for her child., but has done nothing substantial to further the cause.

To learn more about the very accomplished and diverse actress Andrea Friedman you can learn more about her HERE and you can preview of the documentary: “A possible dream – The Andrea Friedman story” HERE.

Because of her television activities, Andrea is often invited to be a motivational speaker and supporter of causes that help other challenged people. She has spoken to many local, statewide, national and international organizations, including the students and faculty at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, on the subject of the advantage of a “mainstream” education for people with learning disabilities.

Andrea Friedman

Andrea’s life is certainly very different from that which was predicted when she was born. She lives independently. When she is not acting, she works in the accounting department of a major law firm. She drives her own car and manages her own schedule, budget, housekeeping and social life. Andrea says she has “Up” syndrome, not Down syndrome and wages a personal battle against the words “retarded” and “disabled.” “I am challenged, not disabled,” she insists. “‘Disabled’ means ‘cannot do’, but my challenged friends and I can do. Some things are hard for us, some things take longer to learn; but if we work hard, we can do.” Andrea does work hard and every morning announces, “I love my life. I wonder how many new friends I’ll make today.”
