Donald Trump’s Birth Certificate: What’s The Donald Hiding?

I was originally going to ignore this story. I really don’t believe this blowhard has any desire to be President, but he does have a show on TV right now so I guess he’s following the Sarah Palin plan of constant self promotion. Although in Mrs. Palin’s case it isn’t turning out the way she planned.

So this serial filer for bankruptcy has been running around the country letting everyone know he’s ‘suddenly’ concerned that President Obama was not born in this country. Even more ludicrous this fraud claims Obama has never, ever provided the document for the public.

Well first Donald is telling a blatant lie. The President’s birth certificate has been available for the public since 2007 when he got into the race for the position. As you can see from Fact Check.org who actually saw, touched, felt and reviewed the Certificate the President provided.

Picture of the raised seal on President Obama's birtch certificate

“It’s inconceivable that, after four years of questioning, the president still hasn’t produced his birth certificate,” Trump told Newsmax. “I’m just asking President Obama to show the public his birth certificate. Why’s he making an issue out of this?” To prove how easy it was for a household employee to find his birth certificate, Trump, 64, crowed, “It took me one hour to get my birth certificate.”

Yet apparently whatever Donald was able to obtain isn’t an official birth certificate issued by the NY City Dept of Health. Instead he provided a certificate of birth from a hospital in NY.

From the Smoking Gun:

As seen above, he provided the conservative web site with what he purports to be his birth certificate.

Except the document is not an official New York City birth certificate, but rather a document generated by Jamaica Hospital, where Trump’s mother Mary reportedly gave birth in June 1946. Official birth certificates are issued (and maintained) by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Office of Vital Records.

So, what is Trump trying to conceal?

On a possibly related note, Jamaica Hospital has been the recipient of significant financial largest from the Trump family. In fact, the Queens institution includes the Trump Pavilion, a nursing and rehabilitation facility that was named for Mary Trump.

What Donald Trump claims is his 'official' birth certificate

So The Donald provided a conservative website this as his official certificate of birth. If Trump thinks this passes the smell test he’s been firing the wrong guy because he obviously isn’t wise enough to realize this is a certificate of birth. You know kind of like the same type of certificate you’d receive fro being in the Boy Scouts.

This should also be noted too while we’re at it:
“Trump’s mother, it should be noted, was born in Scotland, which is not part of the United States. His plane is registered in the Bahamas, also a foreign country. This fact pattern — along with the wave of new questions surrounding what he claims is a birth certificate — raises serious questions about his eligibility to serve as President of the United States.”

Nothing official here Donald. Try again.

Americans, The President and First Lady Honor and Thank Veterans Today

Today we honor those who serve our country so that we may live in freedom.

In a cold but light drizzle today, after breakfast with veterans in the East Room of the White House, the President and the First Lady along with the Vice President and Dr. Biden went to Arlington National Cemetery. The President took part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns, then spoke at the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery.

The President began his remarks extending his thanks to VA Secretary Shinseki, and to the Bidens and their son Beau, who just returned from Iraq. He expressed humility to be speaking to the veterans in the audience, and spoke in awe of the “determination” he saw in the eyes of those grieving yesterday at Fort Hood. Noting that there have been times in the past when America did not stand by our veterans, the President pledged that this would never happen again:

That is my message to all veterans today. That is my message to all who serve in harm’s way. To the husbands and wives back home doing the parenting of two. To the parents who watch their sons and daughters go off to war, and the children who wonder when mom and dad is coming home. To all our wounded warriors, and to the families who laid a loved one to rest. America will not let you down. We will take care of our own.

And to those who are serving in far-flung places today, when your tour ends, when you see our flag, when you touch our soil, you will be home in an America that is forever here for you just as you’ve been there for us. That is my promise — our nation’s promise — to you.

Ninety-one years ago today, the battlefields of Europe fell quiet as World War I came to a close. But we don’t mark this day each year as a celebration of victory, as proud of that victory as we are. We mark this day as a celebration of those who made victory possible. It’s a day we keep in our minds the brave men and women of this young nation — generations of them — who above all else believed in and fought for a set of ideals. Because they did, our country still stands; our founding principles still shine; nations around the world that once knew nothing but fear now know the blessings of freedom.

That is why we fight — in hopes of a day when we no longer need to. And that is why we gather at these solemn remembrances and reminders of war — to recommit ourselves to the hard work of peace.

There will be a day before long when this generation of servicemen and women step out of uniform. They will build families and lives of their own. God willing, they will grow old. And someday, their children, and their children’s children, will gather here to honor them.

Thank you. God bless you. And God bless the United States of America.

Tea Party Organizer Outs Himself on AC360

Anderson Cooper had tea party organizer Mark Williams as a panel member on AC360 on Monday night. Williams denounced those carrying blatantly racist signs against President Obama during the tea parties as “no more part of the mainstream of America than the hippies who wear nipple clips and feather boas in San Francisco streets during so-called peace demonstrations.”

Williams tried his best to act as if this ‘movement’ is nothing more than Americans upset about paying taxes and big government, but Anderson Cooper must have done some research. Maybe it was Anderson’s way of undoing some of the free publicity CNN gave the Teabaggers over last weekend.

Cooper was quick to remind Williams that his own statements and posts on his blog don’t support his statements, “What you’re saying makes sense to me here when I’m hearing what you say but then I read on your blog, you say, you call the President an Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug and a racist in chief.”

Williams shrugs and responds, “Yeah, that’s the way he’s behaving.”

Cooper asks Williams if he really believes Obama is an Indonesian Muslim and a welfare thug. The tea party leader digs the hole a little deeper: “He’s certainly acting like it. Until he embraces the whole country what else can I conclude.”

Until he embraces the country? What is this guy on? Where has he been? We have a President that is trying every single thing possible to address the poverty, joblessness, excessive corporate greed, lack of decent healthcare, and so on and he doesn’t embrace Americans?

Well, then what do these teabaggers suppose he do to show he really cares about Americans? I know, maybe he could start a bogus war and send all the Children of the Teabag off to war? Maybe he could start spying on our phone calls and reading our mail again? Maybe he could violate the constitution? Maybe he could some CIA agents? Maybe he could take more vacations? Maybe he could tell Americans and Congress he just doesn’t care what they think or how they feel because he’s The Decider. Then maybe, just maybe the teabaggers would feel he’s finally embraced the country?

Nope no racism here

Nope no racism here

Mr. Mark Williams must think because he, Dick Armey and Freedom Works Lobbyists have convinced 60,000 racist tools to work against their own best interests while helping the very people who want to destroy their Medicare and Social Security that so many depend on, that he could somehow convince the viewers of AC360 to do the same.

Ohio Rep Jean Schmidt(R) is a birther too

So, if you’re a Republican respresenatitive and you’re confronted with a ‘birther’, you know one of those that believe the President of The United States isn’t a citizen, and they are demanding you do something about the fact that you believe he isn’t entitled to hold position of President?

Well you agree with them of course. I mean really ya know you work for the United States government, but you don’t believe the commander in chief is really commander. So, what should you do? Why keep your job of course and pretend all along you’re working on behalf of Americans. You keep collecting that congressional paycheck and health insurance provided at no expense to you on behalf of hard working Americans.

Well, then we might want to let Ms. Schmidt know that the majority of Americans think she and any other ‘birther’ are not only certifiable, but just plain old fashioned racist.

From Think Progress:

Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-OH) spoke at the Voice of America tea party this Labor Day weekend outside of Cincinnati, OH. Following a tense Q&A session — during which, the congresswoman was booed for acknowledging that the Constitution is a living document — Schmidt engaged in a heated conversation with a birther off-stage. At the conclusion of their exchange, Schmidt whispered to the birther, “I agree with you, but the courts don’t.”

Think Progress attended the event and captured exclusive video of the exchange.
As Schmidt spoke to the birther, one of her staffers spotted the ThinkProgress camera and used his body to push the cameraman out of view of the congresswoman. ThinkProgress continued to film Schmidt from a respectful distance, but was again stopped by another staffer who grabbed the cameraman by the arm and ordered him to “go away.”Schmidt was among the members of Congress featured in Firedoglake’s Know Your Birthers video. In the FDL video, Schmidt can be seen running away from blogger-activist Mike Stark when he asked whether or not she has any questions about President Obama’s citizenship status.

In July, following her 15 minutes of YouTube fame, Schmidt’s office issued a statement to Ohio’s Loveland Magazine to clarify her views:

The President is indeed a Citizen of this country. I voted as a Member of the House to certify the vote of the Electoral College electing him as our President. I may not agree with his politics but there is no doubt he is our President and has my full respect as such.

Schmidt’s exchange with the birther this weekend directly contradicts her July statement. The footage appears to indicate that Schmidt is a closet birther who questions the citizenship of the President.

So there you have it birthers, one more hater to join your group. Maybe Schmidt should resign since she believes President Obama isn’t technically the President. I’m sure you’re group could use another leader since Orly Taitz can’t seem to find the correct Kenyan birth certificate to prove your case. Oh I know Orly will find it someday if she just keeps on trying, but for now maybe she’ll let Ms. Schmidt have a shot at it.

Maybe Ms. Schmidt might have better luck?
